Prototyping is the busiest desk in the shop. Engineering teams send us drawings (sometimes finished STEPs, sometimes a sketch and a phone call, and ask how soon they can have a part in hand. The honest answer is usually days, occasionally hours.
We don't run a separate "prototype line." The same machinist who'd cut a 200-piece production run cuts your one-off, which means the program already accounts for what production would look like if the design proves out.
Material certs included with every prototype shipment. If a design will be a tooling problem at production volume, we'll tell you while it's still cheap to change.
Typical applications
- 01Single-piece validation parts for new product programs
- 02Mechanical mockups for industrial designers and product teams
- 03First-article parts ahead of a production run
- 04Replacement components reverse-engineered from broken originals
- 05Robotics and consumer hardware prototypes for early funding milestones
